A few things about me

🔥

Wildfire & Risk

Revived and deployed a wildfire ember spread model that became a company's flagship product. Trained Type 2 Wildland Firefighter.

⚗️

Physicist at Heart

Contributed to the world's most precise Higgs boson mass measurement at CERN. Started as a chemist, ended up smashing particles.

🚀

Builder & Founder

Founded a consulting practice spanning neurology, finance, renewables, and genetics. I like hard problems in unfamiliar territory.

🧠

Always Learning

Currently deep into behavioral psychology, agentic AI, and nuclear energy. Consistently curious since 1990.

Where I've been

2024 – 2025

Product Lead

SkyTL · Tampa, FL

Promoted from Software Architect. Brought a defunct 5,000-line wildfire model back to life, deployed it on Kubernetes/GCP, and turned it into the company's flagship product. Became the go-to contact for the U.S.'s largest private wildfire risk firm. Secured the company's first non-SBIR contract.

2023 – 2024

Founder

DevelopYours · Gainesville, FL

Freelance consulting across 10+ sectors. Secured 7 client contracts, recruited 3 developers, built 6 startup partnerships. Owned every piece of the business: scoping, contracts, delivery, payroll.

2022 – 2023

Project Manager

Fire Neural Network · Gainesville, FL

Managed ML project segmenting wildfire burn scars in satellite imagery (80% Jaccard index). Bridged data science and executive leadership. Built relationships with Microsoft, NVIDIA, IBM, Esri, and Planet Labs.

2017 – 2022

Particle Physics Researcher

CMS Experiment, CERN / University of Florida

Built statistical frameworks in C++/Python for the Higgs boson mass measurement. Improved muon momentum resolution by 20%. Co-authored in the European Physical Journal C. Presented to the 4,000-member CMS collaboration.

Education

Ph.D. Physics University of Florida, 2022
M.S. Physics University of Florida, 2018
B.S. Chemistry, Cum Laude University of Florida, 2011

Techniques Worth Stealing

How I can help

Data & Analytics

Collect, organize, and analyze data to find the wisest path forward.

Workflow Automation

Python scripts, Bash, Excel macros — if it's repetitive, I'll automate it.

Private Servers

Encrypted, self-hosted setups for people who want their tech independence back.

Teaching

Chemistry, calculus, physics, programming — I've got four teaching awards to back it up.
